IV Therapy – Pre-Treatment Instructions
Required Before Treatment
- A current health history and assessment must be on file (updated within the last 12 months)
- You will be screened at each visit for medical safety, including:
- Medical history changes
- Current medications and supplements
- Allergies
- Cardiac, kidney, or liver conditions
- Risk of fluid overload
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding status
- Baseline vital signs will be taken prior to your infusion
Before Your Appointment
- Eat a light meal prior to your visit
- Stay well hydrated
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior
- Wear comfortable clothing with easy access to your arms
IV Therapy - Post-Treatment Instructions
What to Expect
During or after your infusion, you may experience:
- A cooling sensation in your arm
- A feeling of fullness from fluids
- Increased urination
These symptoms are typically short-lived and resolve within 1–3 days.
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Minor bruising or soreness at the IV site
These are typically temporary and resolve quickly.
Infusion Overview (What You Received)
Your IV infusion may include:
- Fluids (Normal Saline or Lactated Ringer’s)
- Vitamins and nutrients to support energy, immunity, or recovery
- Add-ons such as vitamin C or glutathione depending on your treatment
Infusions are typically completed over 45–90 minutes depending on the formulation.
IV Site Care
- Mild soreness or bruising is normal
- Keep the area clean and avoid excessive pressure
- You may apply a cold compress if needed
Dosing & Titration Schedule
Please contact the office if you experience:
- Persistent dizziness or weakness
- Swelling, pain, or redness at the IV site that worsens
- Fever or signs of infection
- Rash or allergic symptoms
Seek emergency care for severe reactions (difficulty breathing, significant swelling, chest pain, etc.).
Important Considerations
- IV hydration is intended for wellness support only
- It does not replace medical treatment for underlying conditions
- Your provider may adjust your treatment based on your response and medical history
How to Feel Your Best After Treatment
- Continue to hydrate throughout the day
- Eat balanced meals
- Avoid alcohol for the remainder of the day
- Resume normal activity as tolerated

- Treatments can be repeated based on your goals and provider recommendations
- Your response, tolerance, and overall wellness will guide future treatments
