HRT Treatment Options
Biote Hormone Pellets
Pellets contain bioidentical testosterone or estradiol and are inserted beneath the skin during a quick in-office visit. They gradually release hormones over several months, making them a good fit for patients who want a low-maintenance option without daily or weekly dosing. Because pellets cannot be removed once inserted, your provider will first determine if they're appropriate for you.
Hormone Injections
Injections, most commonly testosterone, are typically administered 1–2 times per week, either in our office or at home. They're a good fit if you want precise control over your dose and the ability to adjust it easily as your provider reviews your labs.
Topical Therapies
Creams and gels are typically applied daily and patches are applied to the skin weekly. They're a good fit if you prefer a needle-free option and the flexibility to adjust treatment with your provider.

Hormone Replacement Therapy Q&A
Am I a good candidate for HRT?
Treatment begins with a consultation and appropriate lab work. Your provider will review your symptoms, health history, and hormone levels to determine whether Hormone Replacement Therapy is appropriate for you, and which treatment option may best meet your individual needs.
Is HRT safe?
Hormone Replacement Therapy can be safe and effective when appropriately prescribed and monitored by a qualified healthcare provider. Because every patient is different, your treatment plan is personalized to your individual needs, with ongoing monitoring to evaluate your response and help support safe, effective treatment.
Why do I need lab work?
Symptoms like fatigue, poor sleep, and weight changes can have many possible causes, including hormonal or thyroid imbalances and other health factors. Lab work helps your provider better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and determine whether a hormone imbalance may be medically appropriate.
Can I stop treatment if I change my mind?
Yes — creams, gels, patches, and injections can generally be stopped or adjusted as directed by your provider. Pellets gradually release hormones over time and cannot be removed once inserted, which is why your provider will carefully evaluate whether pellet therapy is appropriate for you before treatment.
Will HRT help me lose weight?
HRT is not a weight loss treatment. However, addressing certain hormone imbalances may support changes in energy, body composition, and overall well-being for some patients. If weight loss is a goal, ask your provider about pairing HRT with our other wellness services.
