POST-PELLET INSERTION INSTRUCTIONS — MALES
Post-Insertion Care
- Avoid glute activation or strenuous activity for 7 days.
- Do not submerge the insertion site in water (baths, pools, hot tubs) for 7 days.
– Do not scrub the area - Keep the dressing on for 7 full days. After removing it, the steri-strips underneath should fall off naturally.
– If steri-strips come off with the dressing, apply a clean bandaid over the site until it is fully healed.
– Keep area clean and dry
– Do not pick at the site
– Avoid tight clothing that rubs the area
What to Expect
- Hormone levels typically begin rising within 3–7 days
- Full symptom improvement may take 4-6 weeks
- Follow-up labs or visits may be scheduled to optimize dosing
Call us if you Experience
- Increasing redness, warmth, or severe swelling
- Drainage or pus
- Fever or chills
- Worsening pain after 48 hours
(Some bruising is normal — spreading redness or pain is not.)
